Lisa Belisle is a physician executive, coach, and consultant. She works with physicians as they move from clinician to leader, and with the health systems, teams, and boards they lead. She has directed primary care service lines, been medical director of a virtual-first primary and urgent care company, sat on the board of an accountable care organization, and led virtual care transformation as an Associate Chief Medical Officer. She holds a PhD in Leadership Studies and builds AI tools herself. Every engagement draws on work she has done.

Coaching
Physician leadership coaching
One-to-one coaching for physicians moving into leadership, or already leading. The step from clinician to leader is the hardest transition in a medical career, and the least supported. Lisa has made it herself, and coaches from a doctoral framework for leading through change.
Fractional leadership
Fractional CMO and medical leadership
Part-time medical leadership for organizations that need a chief medical officer's experience without a permanent hire. Lisa has held the Associate Chief Medical Officer role and several medical directorships. She can step in to lead medical staff, quality, and clinical strategy through a defined term or a transition.
Teams and dyads
Team facilitation and dyad alignment
Facilitation for leadership teams, and for the physician and administrator dyads that run most health systems. When the clinical lead and the operations lead pull in different directions, the work below them stalls. Lisa has sat in both seats.
AI governance
AI and clinical leadership
Governance and leadership for AI in clinical settings. Lisa builds AI applications and websites herself, so her advice on adoption comes from hands-on experience. The questions she helps leaders answer are organizational: how AI changes clinical workflow, what oversight it needs, and how a team decides what to trust.
Strategy
Virtual-care strategy
Strategy and leadership for virtual-first and hybrid care. Lisa was medical director of a virtual-first primary and urgent care company, and expanded telehealth across several roles, going back to early adoption at the VA and in primary care. She holds medical licenses in Maine, Ohio, and South Carolina. The hard part is rarely the technology. It is how care gets staffed, delivered, and governed when the clinician and the patient are not in the same room.
Speaking
Keynotes and workshops
Keynotes, fireside conversations, workshops, and retreats for physicians and health system leaders, on leading through change, AI and physician leadership, and women in medicine. Details are on the speaking page.

The first step is a conversation. Send a short note about your situation, what you want to change, and your timeline. Engagements are scoped individually. A response typically comes within a week.
