A physician leadership speaker for medical societies, health systems, and physician-leadership programs. Three decades in practice, executive experience, and a doctoral framework for leading through change.
Lisa Belisle is a physician leadership speaker whose primary audience is physicians and health system leaders. She has led health systems through virtual care transformation and organizational change as an Associate Chief Medical Officer, holds a PhD in Leadership Studies, and brings hands-on experience building AI tools that few physician leaders share. Her talks pair operational credibility with the ear of a clinician, the pace of a broadcaster, and the attention of a writer.
Lisa Belisle, MD, PhD, MPH, MBA, is a physician executive with separate board certifications in Family Medicine and in Preventive Medicine, and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Health Care Administration, Leadership and Management. She is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) with the American Association for Physician Leadership and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP). She has led health systems through virtual care transformation, workforce redesign, and organizational change as an Associate Chief Medical Officer. Her doctoral research on leading through change in healthcare delivery settings has been published in the Healthcare Administration Leadership & Management Journal, and her leadership programs for women in medicine have earned CME accreditation through the Maine Medical Education Trust. Based on the coast of Maine, she works nationally as a physician leadership speaker, coach, and consultant, and hosts Radio Maine.

As my co-host on A Healthy Conversation on WGAN, Lisa is a gifted broadcaster with a rare ability to put anyone at ease on air: physicians, policymakers, and Maine innovators alike. She asks the question that opens a subject up and turns a complex topic into a conversation an audience wants to follow. I am particularly impressed by her ability to quickly learn new, highly detailed information and make it informative, interesting, and captivating for our audience. She is an exceptional interviewer and communicator.
